Introduction

HBPT encompasses a wide range of educational opportunities within its twelve departments. Currently, HBPT offers 46 programs in science, engineering, medicine, humanities, economics, management and law. All of our programs are specialized and geared toward the industries of manufacturing, construction, management and service in both local and global economies.

HBPT has experienced a wealth of growth and success throughout its history. Currently it has 174.6 acres (1060 Mu) of campus and 499,700 square meters of floor space, with a fixed asset of RMB 422 million, teaching instruments and equipment of more than RMB 70 million and a collection of 988,900 volumes (inclusive of the e-books) in the library.

HBPT has 977 faculty members, of whom 634 are full-time teachers including 207 full-time professors or associate professors, 7 of whom are famous experts enjoying the allowance granted by either the State Council of P.R.C or Hubei Provincial Government. In addition, 72% are known as dual-qualification with both academic knowledge and practical experience. Currently we have 13,990 full-time students. HBPT lays stress on combining technical education with humanities study to rapidly accelerate the development of students' practical skills and improve their comprehensive qualifications. The graduates from HBPT enjoy an average employment rate as high as over 90% in the past three years.
